Lynda.com is shutting down on December 31st 2019.

Lynda.com was purchased by LinkedIN. The same great content will be available on LinkedIn Learning. Please read on for important information about the transition between the two platforms.

Privacy protection information:

When you login to LinkedIn Learning you will be presented with an option to link your existing LinkedIn account (if you have one) to your new LinkedIn Learning account. This is not required, and is in fact not recommended by the Library because of privacy issues.  

If you decide to link your LinkedIn account please be aware that your first name, last name and email address will be sent to LinkedIn Learning servers in the United States.

If in doubt, please do not link your LinkedIn account to your new LinkedIn Learning account - you can always do that later.

Reading history:

To ensure the highest possible privacy protection when you log in to LinkedIn Learning your reading history and certificates will not be carried over from Lynda.com.

Lynda.com and LinkedIn Learning will both be available until the end of December 2019, after which you will only have access to LinkedIn Learning.  Access to both platforms will enable you to manually recreate your reading history (by having both sites open simultaneously).

If you missed the dual-site availability in December 2019 for whatever reason, your reading history can be emailed to you in January 2020. Please contact Library Systems at 604 432 8793 to have your personal history data emailed to you.

Certificates:

Your certificates cannot be recreated. If you wish to keep a record of them you will need to take screenshots of your Lynda Certificates by December 31st 2019.
